Stephen has been hard at work with his new camera, as you can tell from poking around the site... There are new "behind the scenes" pictures from some recent filming we did on the upcoming Indy 3 at the Gallery. There are also some new wallpapers and promo banners on the Downloads page. (I know, we need a life..) :) Please download a couple just to make us feel good... ;) We also got sick of our mug shots on the About the Kids page, and subsequently changed 'em. Oh, there's also some "Behind the Scenes" videos coming soon as well, so keep your eyes peeled!

After deciding that there wasn't enough 'Moses media' to get a proper feel for the movie, we put together a trailer.. Did you hear the great news? We just won first place for the official boringest-blog-of-the-year competition!... But if there WAS a boringest-blog-of-the-year competition, we WOULD have won... ...Meaningless babble aside, I actually do have something worthwhile to post about... We made a little music video with random clips from our "MOSES and the Battle for the Upper Hand" movie. It's a good song, and the lyrics fit so perfectly we just had to do it.... Also, (I know you're sick of hearing it), Indy 2 actually WILL be finished soon--so stay tuned!

We thought it would be fun to post some of our storyboards and concept art side-by-side with the finished product... Okay, okay, joke's off... :D Hope ya' had some laughs! Or, at least a chuckle.... ...Some new "fun stuffs".. The coloring pages from the contest are now available to print (no contest at this time, thought :)). I know, they kinda stink... If I ask Annie nicely, perhaps she'll draw some better ones.. There's also an Indiana John-themed hangman game, and a new Indiana John background screen (if you've got nothing better to do than download useless pics to clutter your hard drive.

Okay, I've got good news and bad news. The good news is, the good news is a better good than the bad news is bad. I guess that makes two good newses... Bad news first: We will have to wait just a little longer for the new Indy film to be released. That wasn't so bad, was it? Especially since, the reason for the delay is that composer Michael Rudd has graciously offered to score the movie for us! Judging by the couple minutes we've heard so far, it's going to be a lot better than my score was. ...You can listen to Michael's work here.

Today, December 8th, with a foot of snow on the ground, we finished filming the last pickup for Indy 2. Think you'll notice the change of seasons? ;) Probably not. Paddy affirms that, yes, it is indeed cold out. And snowy. ...We're learning a lot about creating music for this short, but it is quite a challenge. I have written about a minute or so, and we will be mixing in some royalty-free canned music as well. The end is a little ways off yet, but definitely in sight!

We were working on voiceovers today and threw together this crummy little low-quality "behind the scenes" bit, just to prove that we are in fact working on this project... Enjoy! :)

We are attempting to write and perform our own musical score for the movie, so that will probably slow down our progress... It's a good project to learn on, though.

Been awhile since I posted... Now that we don't have to push so hard to get the filming done, we've been kinda enjoying the fall weekends and have gotten a bit lazy in the "Indy" department. I have been dutifully chugging away at the editing stuff late into the night, however. So, the project is still coming together, little by little. We're working on a trailer that should be up soonish, so you'll get a little peek...

Today we finished all of the filming for Indy 2, save a few green screen shots. Phew! Quite a relief, especially since fall colors are already starting to pop up... Waaay to soon, if you ask me. ;) This was our sixth "filming afternoon", and the finished film should run at least as long as the original, if not a minute or two longer. We'll be posting updates throughout the editing process, and maybe even a trailer or something... Guess it depends how long it takes to edit. :) Check back!

Getting Up-to-Datey Type Stuff...

I've been waiting for something interesting to say before making another blog post, and here it is! We're making an Indiana John sequel! It is currently unnamed, but we have the story pretty much together.. It will have a slightly lighter feel, with a bit more comedy worked into the action.... We can't make any promises about when or if the project will be completed, but we'll go to work and hope for the best! Our next short film was going to be Johnny Wayne 2, but that project will probably be shelved as we recently cleared out our whole goat herd... (Our plot and many scenes rested heavily on the goats filling in for horses for our young cowboys, unfortunately.) Anyway, check back for updates in the near future!

Indiana John's comin' along... We have a couple blue screen pickup shots to film yet, but the majority of the movie is completely edited, sound-effected, musicified, you name it.. If the weather cooperates, we hope to have it out in a week or two, but I make no guarantees... ;) No way to know how many spare minutes I'll find to work on it... Also, we will be adding a short stop-motion animated film that we made about 3 years ago, starring your favorite lego actors. ;) It needs a little touching up first, though.. Anyway, that's what's happening around here. Have a great week!

Spring is here and we are keeping very busy around our homestead! This leaves less time for hobbies like filmmaking, but we are still making progress on the editing for Indiana John. We have the whole movie sequenced, and are very excited to be seeing it all come together! The final length of the short film will be between 5 and 10 minutes. And, (for those who have asked or might be wondering), yes, this movie will be FREE. (Not that George Lucas would be too happy if we sold it anyway...) We made the film because we wanted more of our work to be available to all, and to test out some new editing software. Not to mention that filming action is just so fun...

I'll bet some of you were wondering at this point if "Indiana John" would ever be completed, weren't you? Well, the truth is, so were we... :-) However, a late snowstorm gave us the motivation to get out with the camera and finish what we had begun! We are happy to announce that the last of the filming was completed today. *whew*... (Try making an action movie out in the knee-deep snow with a crabby 5 year old sibling and tell me how it goes... ...Now the editing begins, and you can expect it to take awhile as we are in the process of learning how to use all-new software... We'll try to post some pics now and again to help the time pass more quickly.

Hi all, Nothing much to report on the production side of things... Been too cold to work on 'Indiana John'. He's an action hero, but not when it comes to frozen fingertips. :-) We will be adding some new stuff to the site soon. Well, earlier this week we had a great idea for a new "Johnny" movie... "Indiana John"! Also, we decided that we couldn't wait 'till spring to film it, so we went into production today. Indiana John and the Silver Platter will be an action-packed 5-minute film that will be released online for all to enjoy. In the meantime, here's a quick sneak peek!
